Boarding Add-Ons
Basics:
5-minute walk out into the courtyard to sniff and go potty. Especially good for Senior dogs who cannot or will not walk very far and for pups that do not like to go to the bathroom in the park.
15 minutes of one-on-one cuddle time. We go to a quiet spot for snuggles, belly rubs, bum scratches and sweet talk.
Charged when a daycare or boarding dog requires house food. You can also opt for 4 meals for $12.
Quick-release collars are an extra measure of safety when your pooch is playing with the others. We require the quick-release collar so that we can snap it open in the rare instance that any pups should get a collar caught on their teeth or tangled with another.Belt buckle style collars do not give us the ability to quickly separate dogs in a situation like this and can present a safety risk. We offer a number of affordable collars and options to store them here if you wish to have a different collar at home. Harnesses are not to be worn in the parks unless specifically recommended by a vet.
Note: Airtags, Fi tracking collars and other GPS technology trackers are not allowed in daycare parks because they pose a choking hazard.
Water: No charge
PB: No charge for one off. Charge for more than twice in a day and/or consecutive days of PB added.
Wet Food/Broth/Pumpkin/Rice: Charge per day
Tripe: Charge per use. Up to 3x ($9) per day. Advise clients to purchase can at that point.
Tally all applicable charges and apply to accounts under additional services after every meal service.
Bordetella vaccination is required every 6 months. We offer this vaccination in house for a fee, and will call you before administering it.

FAQs
After successfully completing the New Dog Evaluation, your dog will be invited for a complimentary day of daycare to ensure a good fit. Each time you bring your dog for boarding, we'll review a checklist to update any changes in care needs. A Health Check is performed before your dog joins the play area. Scheduled breaks, optional services, and mealtimes are all part of the daily routine. The day concludes with a final potty break around 8:30 PM, followed by bedtime at 9 PM. Breakfast is served at 6 AM, and the play areas open at 7 AM.
A Night Owl staff member is on-site from 9:30 PM to 6 AM to ensure your dog's well-being. They prepare belongings for the next day's departure and clean any soiled items to ensure a smooth pick up process in the morning!
For the best experience, please drop off your dog for boarding before 3 PM so they can acclimate and play before dinner. If you're unable to pick up your dog by 9:30 PM, an additional night's boarding fee will apply.
Bordetella, commonly known as kennel cough, is a concern in environments where dogs are in close contact, like daycare. To ensure the health and safety of all our furry guests, we've established a 6-month Bordetella vaccination rule, based on consultations with veterinarians. For added convenience, Downtown Dog Lounge offers an in-house intranasal version of this vaccine.
Safety first! Dogs play using their mouths and garments, or collars can get caught. Quick-release collars can be snapped open swiftly if needed, preventing potential accidents. While we offer affordable collar options, harnesses are park-prohibited unless vet-recommended.
We operate on a 24-hour cycle. The nightly rate covers 24 hours from drop-off plus a two-hour grace period. Beyond that, applicable daycare rates apply. If your dog stays past 9:30 PM, they'll be checked into boarding, with the corresponding fees.
The after-hours fee applies when dogs are dropped off or picked up outside our regular hours. Though we operate 24/7, staffing is limited during off-hours. Monthly, half-year, or full-year unlimited daycare clients are exempt. Healthcare workers also enjoy waived fees for early or late services. If you anticipate off-hour needs, please notify us in advance. Dogs remaining past 9:30 PM may be moved to boarding with associated fees. After a bath or groom, please collect your dog within two hours of notification. Beyond that, hourly Daycare charges apply. Extended delays might result in added walking and daycare fees. Note: Only dogs that have passed our evaluation can play post-grooming.
Absolutely, we adore puppies! Puppies can join us from 10 weeks onwards. At this age, they're typically still receiving their booster shots, so they'll be placed in our special nursery at the South Lake Union (SLU) location. Once they reach 4-6 months and are fully vaccinated, they can undergo a New Dog Evaluation and join the fun in the park.
Kudos on your new addition! For their well-being, we advise a 2-month acclimation period in their new home before evaluation for our services. This ensures they're comfortable and ready for group play.
At our South Lake Union (SLU) location, the facility is indoors, but any messes are promptly cleaned. For pups that prefer the outdoors, we offer additional outdoor walks. Meanwhile, our Ballard location boasts two outdoor parks for your dog's convenience.
The evaluation goes beyond just a day of daycare. Our trained Evaluators meticulously observe, assess, and document your dog's behavior throughout the day. Their expertise ensures that Downtown Dog Lounge is the right environment for your dog, prioritizing both their well-being and safety.
We suggest bringing your dog in at least 2 times a month. All dogs are required to come in for a reevaluation if they haven't visited us for 6 months or more because it's important to keep your pup familiar with our staff and surroundings after their initial evaluation to set them up for success on their next visit, whether it's for boarding or daycare.
Dropping off your dog before 3 PM ensures they have ample time to play and get comfortable with the pack before dinner at 5:30 PM. This helps your pup settle in better and contributes to a safer, happier boarding experience for all. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the location where your dog will be staying.
